Some information about the race season, why we partake etc
2011 Season.
The first race of the season was at Mallory Park on Sunday 3rd April. Practice/ qualifying conditions were dry and even though we have only managed half a day of dry testing, John put the new GT-3 on pole position by .46 of a second in front of Garry Goodyear, Paul Rogers and Dereck Jones. Mat Green in our GT-R had a few problems and was 5th.
The weather for the race changed to wet half an hour before the start causing a rush to put wet settings and tyres on our cars. John led from start to finish, winning by 15 seconds from Paul Rogers.
Mat finished 4th on the road, 3rd in Class R after a minor off at the hairpin which re arranged the tracking on the car which did nothing to help the handling.
A great start to the season for John and the new GT-3.
